There are two types of wars that exist: the first involves direct physical conflict between armies, like the war in Laascaanood, while the second one takes place in the realm of social and media communications, often entailing incitement and confrontation. It is expected that both types emanate from outside sources.
Every individual is accountable for their actions and nobody is exempt from abiding by the law.
It is nonsensical and unheard of to create additional chaos while the nation is already grappling with the defense against foreign invasion and the daily treatment and burial of casualties. Shame really.
Whether one is a traditional leader or a regular citizen, they are only accountable for themselves and not their family, party, or community. One’s deeds, both good and bad, are solely their own responsibility.
Everyone is responsible for himself or herself only. Each person is responsible for their words. It is no good to blame others for one’s error.
In a world filled with a plethora of viewpoints and an abundance of opinions, there seems to be much finger-pointing and blame-shifting. However, the concept of personal responsibility still holds true. Each person is responsible for their own actions and must own up to any errors they commit.
Uttering and spreading false statements or remarks about others is not only inappropriate but also has the potential to foster ignorance,inciting and division.
All Somalis tend to be susceptible to false information and easily swayed by the rhetoric around us. Our capacity to reason is fragile, relying on language and prone to mistakes and undue influence. As a result, our actions may stem from selfishness, impulsivity, or ignorance, fueled by false beliefs, flawed reasoning, or the emotional manipulation of others.
It is incumbent upon each of us to take accountability for our actions, speak and act wisely, and avoid repeating unverified information. Instead, we must strive to be responsible citizens and promote unity, respect, and understanding in our communities. By taking responsibility for our words and actions, we can contribute to building a more peaceful and harmonious society. Sharing false information about an individual is also not only acceptable, it can also lead to a ripple effect of ignorance among others.
Spreading hate and discriminatory remarks through social media is unacceptable and should be avoided, Although social media provides a platform for people to express their opinions, it has also become a breeding ground for false information and propaganda. This goes against the teachings and moral values of Islam, as well as our cultural and traditional values. While we recognize the negative effects of social media, we should also acknowledge its benefits in making communication easier and more accessible. There must be a governmental policy toward inciting that works as we have been complacent for too long.
Lastly, The primary aim of political parties is to persuade people in their party to vote for them during the election campaign. However, causing dismay among party members could result in not only a setback but also prompt current members to withdraw their support.
Also, It is crucial to bear in mind that in any society or tribe, there can be countless individuals who engage in reprehensible behavior. Therefore, we should avoid blaming or targeting an entire family or tribe when one person exhibits inappropriate conduct.
